Nathan Lyon’s participation in the Ashes tour is in doubt after he arrived at Lord’s on crutches due to a serious calf strain. During the second day of the second Test, Lyon had to leave the field after pulling up while fielding, and he appeared to be in pain. With tears in his eyes, Lyon made his way towards the dressing room with the help of a staff member. Despite his milestone of playing in his 100th consecutive Test, Lyon was seen at Lord’s the next day with crutches and a compression sock. It seems that Lyon is out for the remainder of Ashes 2023.
