    1) Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene

    In 2006, a test match was played between Sri Lanka and South Africa in Colombo. In this match, there was a partnership of 624 runs for the third wicket between Kumar Sangakkara and Mahela Jayawardene. This is the biggest partnership in test cricket for any wicket.

    2) Roshan Mahanama and Sanath Jayasuriya

    In the test match played between Sri Lanka and India in Colombo in 1997, Roshan Mahanama and Sanath Jayasuriya batted brilliantly. There was a partnership of 576 runs for the second wicket between the two players.

    3) Andrew Jones and Martin Crowe

    In 1991, there was a partnership of 467 runs for the third wicket between New Zealand’s Andrew Jones and Martin Crowe. This test match was played by New Zealand against Sri Lanka in Wellington.

    In 1983, a test match was played between India and Pakistan in Hyderabad. In this test, Pakistan’s Mudassar Nazar and Javed Miandad troubled the Indian bowlers a lot. There was a partnership of 451 runs for the third wicket between these two Pakistani players.
