Team India skipper Rohit Sharma has hit a brilliant century on Day 2 of the 1st Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy. With this century, he has now become the 1st Indian skipper to score centuries in all three formats of the game.

Rohit started off as an off spinner until coach his Dinesh Lad asked him to change his school and join Swami Vivekananda International School, keeping in mind the better coaching and training facilities there.
From someone who would bat at no. 8 and 9, Rohit was asked to open the batting. This was probably the first time when he played as an opener. However, he delivered on Coach Lad’s confidence scoring an unbeaten 120 in his first Inter-School match as an opener. He started getting people’s attention when he scored a brilliant 142 off 123 balls against North Zone while playing for West Zone in a Domestic Cricket match. Finally, he made his Ranji Trophy debut in 2006-2007, and from there he was drafted into the limited overs side for India’s tour to Ireland. The next part of the story is known by all.
