Rohit Sharma, the current Indian captain, has risen to the top of world cricket with his hard work throughout the years. He started as a middle-order batter but found his calling when MS Dhoni promoted him to open the batting in limited-overs cricket. He has been India’s one of the most successful openers in white-ball cricket, with a plethora of distinctive records to his name.

Rohit has also started opening in red-ball cricket and has found his success in that format as well. He has already created a legacy that is hard to match for the upcoming generation, and by the time he retires, expect him to leave behind some of the most difficult records to break in cricket.

He dismantled the Kangaroo attack consisting of Nathan Coulter Nile, Clint Mckay and James Faulkner to reach the epic milestone. His 209 included 12 fours and 16 gigantic sixes. He helped India post a total of 383 on the board.

    3- 208* vs Sri Lanka, 2017

Rohit Sharma scored his third double hundred in One Day Internationals against Sri Lanka at Mohali. He dispatched loads of boundaries and sixes to help his team post a massive total of 392 in 50 overs. Rohit remained unbeaten and collected 13 fours and 12 colossal sixes in his ravaging knock.

    4- 118 vs Sri Lanka, 2017

Rohit Sharma tied for the fastest ever hundred with David Miller in T20 internationals when he took only 35 balls against Sri Lanka at Indore to reach his hundred. His inning ensured that India posts a huge total of 260 in the 20 overs. Sharma’s 118 included 12 fours and 10 cosmic sixes. India won the game by a vast margin of 88 runs.

    5- 212 vs South Africa, 2019

Another miraculous inning that cemented Rohit Sharma as one of the best batters of the modern era. He smashed a double century in the third Test of the series against Proteas at Ranchi in 2019.
