The final between the Chennai Super Kings and the Gujarat Titans was postponed due to rain on Sunday at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Thousands of fans who had come to watch their teams play were forced to leave without seeing a single delivery bowled. Later that night, some videos and photos of CSK fans sleeping on the floor at a nearby railway station surfaced on social media platforms.
Despite the fact that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) allowed fans to use the same tickets on Reserve Day, a number of fans chose to stay in Motera rather than return home because they had to return for the final the next day.
Multiple CSK fans were spotted at the railway station, most likely hoping to catch a glimpse of the ‘Thala’ MS Dhoni before he decides to hang his boots.
It is 3 o'clock in the night when I went to Ahmedabad railway station, I saw people wearing jersey of csk team, some were sleeping, some were awake, some people, I asked them what they are doing, they said we have come only to see MS Dhoni @IPL @ChennaiIPL #IPLFinal #Ahmedabad pic.twitter.com/ZJktgGcv8U

This is the first time in IPL history that a summit clash has had to be rescheduled. The postponement of the match came as a surprise to many excited fans in the stadium as well as those who were watching the summit clash from home. Around 11 p.m., IPL made the official announcement, putting an end to many rumors.
If a five-over game is not possible by the cut-off time of 12:26 AM local time, the match will be decided on Monday. The cut-off time for Super Over to begin is 12:56 AM. If the Super Over is also not possible, the Gujarat Titans will be declared the winners because they finished higher in the tournament’s league stage.
