Former Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir has expressed his unwavering support for the West Indies team, following their disappointing exit from the ICC World Cup 2023 qualifiers. The two-time World Champions suffered a defeat at the hands of Scotland, losing by 7 wickets in Zimbabwe.
With a below-par total of 181 runs in their first innings, the West Indies were unable to defend their score as Scotland comfortably chased it down in less than 45 overs. Despite their struggles, Gambhir took to Twitter to share his love for West Indies cricket and his belief in their potential to reclaim the top spot in world cricket.

“I love West Indies. I love West Indian cricket. I still believe they can be the No.1 team in world cricket,” Gambhir tweeted.
Although West Indies boast a lineup of explosive hitters, they have faced challenges and struggled to secure victories across formats in recent times.
