Trent Boult family

Trent Alexander Boult, born on July 22, 1989, is a prominent New Zealand cricketer, representing the New Zealand national cricket team across all formats. Known for his skills as a left-arm fast-medium bowler and a right-handed batsman, Boult made his Test debut for New Zealand in December 2011 and his One Day International debut the following July.

He achieved remarkable feats in his career, including being the joint leading wicket-taker at the 2015 Cricket World Cup and becoming the third New Zealand bowler to secure a hat-trick in ODIs in November 2018. Notably, in June 2019, Boult achieved another milestone by becoming the first New Zealand bowler to secure a hat-trick in the Cricket World Cup.

Additionally, he played a pivotal role in New Zealand’s victory in the 2019–2021 ICC World Test Championship, cementing his status as a key asset for the national team. Beyond international cricket, Boult is recognized for his contributions as a fast bowler in various T20 leagues worldwide.

Born in Rotorua in 1989, Trent Boult spent his formative years growing up in Ōhope and Tauranga. He received his education at Otumoetai College and is the younger brother of fellow cricketer Jono Boult. Proud of his Māori heritage, Trent Boult is affiliated with the Ngāi Tahu, Ngāti Porou, and Ngāi Te Rangi iwi.
