His educational journey took him through St. Aloysius High School, and he later earned a BCom degree from Dr. Lankapalli Bullayya College.
Bharat’s early foray into cricket commenced at an impressive age, as he began training with the Andhra Ranji Trophy squad when he was just 11 years old. Notably, he served as one of the ball boys during the India-Pakistan ODI match held in Visakhapatnam in 2005. In November 2019, Bharat was included in India’s Test squad for the second Test against Bangladesh, providing cover for Wriddhiman Saha. Subsequently, in January 2020, he joined the Indian squad for the One Day International (ODI) series against Australia, stepping in after Rishabh Pant suffered a concussion.
His presence continued to be acknowledged in January 2021 when he was named among the five standby players in India’s Test squad for the series against England. In May 2021, Bharat was once again called up to India’s Test squad for the series against England, serving as a cover for Wriddhiman Saha.
In November 2021, Bharat showcased his skills in the first Test against New Zealand during their tour of India. Acting as a replacement for the injured Wriddhiman Saha, Bharat not only handled wicketkeeping duties but also contributed with 2 catches and a crucial stumping, dismissing Tom Latham for 95 off Axar Patel’s bowling.
