On August 14, 2014, Foakes joined Surrey County Cricket Club, contributing to their triumphs in the 2018 and 2022 County Championships. In September 2023, he signed a multi-year contract extension with Surrey, solidifying his crucial role with exemplary wicketkeeping and reliable batting.
