On October 26, 2020, Siraj was included in India’s Test squad for their series against Australia. Amid deliberations between Navdeep Saini and Siraj following Mohammad Shami’s injury, Siraj got the nod over Saini, marking his Test debut for India on December 26, 2020, against Australia. Siraj commenced his first-class career on November 15, 2015, mentored by Karthik Udupa, representing Hyderabad in the 2015–16 Ranji Trophy tournament.
