Ruan de Swardt, born on January 21, 1998, is a cricketer from South Africa. He began his List A career with Northerns in the 2017–18 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on March 4, 2018. His participation extended to the 2018 Africa T20 Cup when he was included in Northerns’ squad in September 2018. De Swardt made his first-class debut for Northerns in the 2018–19 CSA 3-Day Provincial Cup on November 1, 2018. Additionally, he marked his Twenty20 debut for Northerns in the 2019–20 CSA Provincial T20 Cup on September 13, 2019.

Ruan de Swardt Career
Ruan de Swardt excelled as the top run-scorer in the 2019–20 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge, accumulating 426 runs in seven matches. His outstanding performances earned him recognition as the CSA Student Cricketer of the Year in July 2020. Looking ahead, de Swardt was included in KwaZulu-Natal’s squad for the 2021–22 cricket season in South Africa, further solidifying his presence in domestic cricket.
Ruan de Swardt made his Test debut for South Africa against New Zealand at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui on 4 February 2024.
