Raynard van Tonder, born on September 26, 1998, is a cricketer from South Africa. He initiated his first-class career with Free State in the 2016–17 Sunfoil 3-Day Cup on October 6, 2016. Van Tonder made his List A debut for Free State in the 2016–17 CSA Provincial One-Day Challenge on October 9, 2016. Additionally, he marked his Twenty20 debut for Free State in the 2017 Africa T20 Cup on September 8, 2017.

In December 2017, Raynard Van Tonder was appointed as the captain of South Africa’s squad for the 2018 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He emerged as the leading run-scorer for South Africa in the tournament, amassing an impressive 348 runs. Recognizing his talent, the International Cricket Council (ICC) named van Tonder as the rising star of the squad after the tournament.
Following his success at the Under-19 level, Van Tonder continued to make strides in domestic cricket. He earned a spot in the Cricket South Africa Emerging Squad in July 2018.
