Pakistan has got the hosting of 2025 Champions Trophy. However, the picture is not yet clear whether the matches of the tournament will be held in Pakistan or not. The reason behind this is that the BCCI is not ready to send Team India to Babar Azam’s country, which is why the venue of the Champions Trophy has not been finalized yet. Meanwhile, an interesting news has come out about the Champions Trophy. If the India does not go to Pakistan, then the PCB may benefit.
According to the report, if Team India does not go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, then the ICC will give extra money to the PCB due to being the host. Actually, looking at the kind of equations being made, it seems that the 2025 Champions Trophy will be played in a hybrid model. In such a situation, Team India will play its matches at some other place, considering this, the PCB will get additional funds.
Anyway, the PCB has now accepted defeat in a way, and has handed over the responsibility of convincing the BCCI to come to Pakistan to the ICC. Moreover, the ICC will now be responsible for finalising and announcing the schedule of the tournament, which is tentatively scheduled to begin on February 19 as per earlier published reports. A media report has revealed that the PCB has completed all the formalities that it had to do as the host of the Champions Trophy.

The ICC has already given the green signal to the proposed schedule sent by the PCB and has also approved a whopping budget of INR 1,280 crore for the event. Now the only thing left is how the ICC convinces India to come to Pakistan. The report further stated that it all depends on the ICC when it finalises the schedule. As per the current schedule, Team India is scheduled to play all its matches at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
