The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released the schedule for the 10th edition of its domestic T20 league, the Pakistan Super League (PSL), on Friday. The upcoming season of PSL will begin on April 11. Interestingly, PSL will be held at the same time as IPL 2025, which is scheduled to take place from March 22 to May 25.
The opening match of PSL 10 will be played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium between defending champions Islamabad United and two-time champions Lahore Qalandars. Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium will host 13 matches, including two Eliminators and the final on May 18. Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host 11 matches, including the Qualifier on May 13. Karachi’s National Bank Stadium and Multan Cricket Stadium will each host five matches.
Impact of Clash with IPL
It will be interesting to see how players participating in both IPL and PSL manage their schedules. However, it is certain that franchise planning will be affected. In the past, PSL has faced challenges in securing the availability of foreign players due to its scheduling conflict with IPL.
