IPL 2025 Orange and Purple Cap List- SKY Reaches Number 3

Under the leadership of Hardik Pandya, Mumbai Indians registered their fourth consecutive win by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 7 wickets. The star performer with the ball was Trent Boult, who picked up 4 crucial wickets. Chasing a target of 144, it was Rohit Sharma who emerged as the hero with a blazing knock of 70 runs off 46 balls, smashing back-to-back fifties this season. Alongside him, Suryakumar Yadav remained unbeaten on 40 off just 19 balls.

This innings gave Suryakumar Yadav a big boost in the Orange Cap race, while Rohit also climbed higher in the standings. Let’s take a look at the updated Orange and Purple Cap lists:

IPL 2025 Orange Cap Standings:

Rohit Sharma smashed 8 fours and 3 towering sixes during his 70-run knock against SRH. He now has 228 runs this season and has entered the top-20 in the Orange Cap race, currently standing at 19th. Suryakumar Yadav, thanks to his 40* against SRH, has broken into the top-3 alongside Nicholas Pooran and Sai Sudharsan. SKY has been in top form this season, scoring 373 runs in 9 matches.

Meanwhile, Heinrich Klaasen held his ground for SRH when the team collapsed to 35/5. He scored a crucial 71-run knock, helping SRH reach 143. With this innings, Klaasen now has 281 runs and ranks 11th in the list.

IPL 2025 Purple Cap Standings:

After the SRH vs MI match (Match 41), there weren’t many major changes in the Purple Cap race. Trent Boult’s 4-wicket haul took his season tally to 10 wickets, pushing him to 14th in the list of leading wicket-takers. MI captain Hardik Pandya climbed to 7th place with a total of 12 wickets. Interestingly, there are 7 other bowlers tied with 12 wickets each. The top spot continues to be held by Gujarat Titans’ Prasidh Krishna, who leads with 16 wickets.
