With the return of IPL 2025, fans are in for a treat with a Sunday double-header. Cricket lovers will get to enjoy two exciting matches on May 18. In the first match of the day, Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
Rajasthan Royals are already eliminated from the playoff race, while Punjab Kings are just one win away from qualifying. So, while Punjab will be aiming for a crucial win, Rajasthan will look to play for pride and end on a high note. So far this season, only 4 matches have been played in Jaipur, and Rajasthan has won just one home game. Hence, the Royals will be hoping to gift a win to their home fans in their final match at home.
RR vs PBKS Pitch Report – Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur
The pitch at Jaipur is expected to be flat and batting-friendly. It is likely to be a hard surface with a bit of grass, which means the ball will come nicely onto the bat, making stroke play easier for the batters. On the other hand, bowlers will need to be very accurate with their line and length.
There is also a chance of dew in the second innings, which could make it harder for the bowlers to grip the ball. Hence, the team winning the toss is likely to opt for bowling first.
