Born on November 20, 1999, Abdullah Shafique is a Pakistani cricketer representing both the Pakistan national cricket team and the Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League.

Abdullah Shafique was born into a Punjabi Gujjar family in a town within Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan. His father, Shafiq Ahmed, has been residing in Dubai since 1991. Shafiq Ahmed, originally a professional cricketer, later transitioned into a cricket coach. Abdullah Shafique’s uncle, Arshad Ali, had a career in international cricket representing the United Arab Emirates.
Beyond the realm of cricket, Abdullah Shafique has a passion for music. He is a talented singer and skilled guitar player, with some of his song covers gaining significant popularity and going viral.
In November 2017, Abdullah Shafique was acquired by Multan Sultans during the 2018 Pakistan Super League player draft, but he did not participate in the competition.
His journey in first-class cricket commenced in December 2019 when he made his debut for Central Punjab in the 2019–20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, delivering an impressive performance by scoring 133 runs.

In September 2020, he marked his Twenty20 debut for Central Punjab in the 2020–21 National T20 Cup, remarkably achieving a score of 102 not out. This achievement made him the first Pakistani batsman to achieve a century on both his first-class and T20 debut.
Moving forward, in December 2021, Abdullah Shafique was named as part of Lahore Qalandar’s squad for the 2022 Pakistan Super League season (PSL).
