The three-match T20 series between West Indies and Ireland was reduced to just one game, as two matches were washed out due to rain. The third and final match was played on Sunday, June 15, in Bready, where West Indies secured a convincing win and claimed the series. Earlier, the West Indies team had faced heavy defeats against England in both the ODI and T20 series, but they bounced back strongly against Ireland by posting a massive total of over 250 runs.
In this match, Ireland’s captain Paul Stirling won the toss and chose to bowl first. However, his decision backfired as West Indies piled up a huge total of 256 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Evin Lewis smashed 91 off 44 balls, captain Shai Hope scored 51 off 27 balls, and Keacy Carty contributed 49 off just 22 balls. For Ireland, Matthew Humphreys picked up 2 wickets, while Mark Adair, Barry McCarthy, and Ben White took one wicket each.
