Mohsin Khan, the left-arm medium-fast bowler from Uttar Pradesh, has come to the limelight with his terrific performance in the ongoing Tata IPL 2022. Mohsin represents Lucknow Super Giants in the tournament and has played two matches.

He went wicketless in the first game but showed the intent and fieriness required in a fast bowler. In his second game versus Mumbai Indians, Mohsin Khan impressed with his pressure handling as he bowled against the power-hitter, Kieron Pollard and kept him quiet to ultimately ensure his team’s victory. His figures read 1 wicket for 27 runs in 4 overs.

Early life:

Mohsin Khan was born on 15 July 1998 in the obscure district called Sambhal in Uttar Pradesh. He had a keen interest in sports in his childhood and decided to pursue a career in cricket. However, since he belonged to a small village, Mohsin had to overcome many impediments to reach the current stage.

Debut for Uttar Pradesh

Mohsin Khan debuted in List-A for Uttar Pardesh in 2018 in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. On the back of his signature performances, Mohsin got selected to play in the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy of 2018. He made headlines with 13 wickets and 8 games in the competition.

IPL Journey:

Mumbai Indians picked Mohsin Khan in the 2018 IPL auction. He was sold for his base price of ₹20 lakhs. However, he did not get to play in any matches for the franchise and showcase his abilities.

Nevertheless, Mohsin Khan was picked by Lucknow Super Giants in the Tata IPL Mega Auctions. Finally, he got his opportunity to display his skills with the bowl, and till now, he has been exceptional in the tournament.
