Along with Faf and Maxwell, RCB to Release Virat Kohli as Well- Reports

Team India's star cricketer may have retired from T20 International, but he will still continue to play IPL. This means that the 35-year-old batter can be seen in IPL 2025. However, there is a question mark on whether RCB will retain Virat or not.

According to the news coming from sources, RCB franchise will not sign a contract with star cricketer Virat Kohli in IPL 2025. Apart from this, 5 other players including Faf du Plessis, who captained this team last season, is also going to be removed. The other names that may be released include Glenn Maxwell, Mohammad Siraj, Tom Curran and Alzari Joseph.

Along with Faf and Maxwell, RCB to Release Virat Kohli as Well- Reports

When it comes to the best batter of modern day cricket, Kohli’s name will come at the top. This player has scored a lot of runs in all three formats of Test, ODI and T20. At the same time, the right-handed batsman has made so many records, which is not going to be easy for any young player to break. However, questions are often raised about his strike rate in limited overs cricket.

Apart from this, in the recently played ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Virat Kohli flopped in the entire tournament except the final match. In such a situation, it would not be wrong to say that after T20 International, his career in IPL can also end. RCB can release him in the 17th edition of the Indian Premier League.
