Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc has expressed uncertainty about his selection for the upcoming Lord’s Test in the Ashes series. Starc revealed to reporters that he has not received any indication from the selectors regarding his place in the team.
As the second Test approaches at Lord’s, Starc is hopeful of being included in the playing XI and making a significant contribution to Australia’s quest to regain the Ashes urn.
Starc, known for his left-arm fast bowling, is optimistic about the pitch conditions at Lord’s, hoping for a green surface that would favor his style of bowling.
Additionally, he has been putting in the hard work to enhance his rhythm and form, aiming to improve his chances of making a comeback to the team. He did not feature in the first Test, which Australia won in a stunning fashion.

Nevertheless, Starc remains hopeful of making an impact in the second Test and bolstering his team’s momentum. His eagerness to return to the field and support his team demonstrates his dedication and commitment to the sport.
“I haven’t received any indication either way, so your guess is as good as mine until the selectors decide,” Mitchell Starc said on Monday when asked about his chances of playing.
Mitchell Starc, reflecting on his performance in the World Test Championship final against India at the Oval, stated that he is currently bowling better than he did during that match. Despite taking four wickets in the final, Starc conceded more than five runs per over. However, he believes that he has made significant improvements in his bowling technique since then.

Starc is renowned for his aggressive and intimidating bowling style, which can trouble even the best batsmen in the world. His pace, swing, and accuracy make him a formidable force on the field.
“I probably came into that game feeling pretty good, but my rhythm wasn’t quite there. So it’s been a productive couple of weeks of work to regain that rhythm,” Mitchell Starc said.
“I think we were all better for the run after the Test final at The Oval, and I certainly feel more comfortable now than I did during that game. So yeah, hopefully, that translates into some good performances if and when I play. Everything is in good order; it’s just a matter of getting some time in the middle when my opportunity comes,” added Starc.
The second Ashes Test between England and Australia is set to commence on Wednesday, generating great anticipation among cricket fans worldwide.
