Asia Cup 2023 India Team Playing 11: Sanju Samson Snubbed

Although Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul are anticipated to make their comebacks in Asia Cup 2023, Shreyas Iyer's participation is uncertain due to his ongoing recovery from back surgery.

The Asia Cup 2023 is set to commence on August 30th, featuring a match between Pakistan and Nepal. The tournament will follow a hybrid format, with most of Pakistan’s matches hosted in Pakistan, except for their game against India. Four matches are scheduled to be held in Pakistan, while the semi-finals and final will take place in Sri Lanka. The highly anticipated India-Pakistan match is slated for September 2nd, 2023. Cricket enthusiasts are eagerly awaiting India’s squad announcement and are excited about the return of players like Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul.

Although Jasprit Bumrah and KL Rahul are anticipated to make their comebacks in Asia Cup 2023, Shreyas Iyer’s participation is uncertain due to his ongoing recovery from back surgery. His availability remains in doubt, possibly affecting his presence in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant is progressing in his recovery but won’t be able to participate in the Asia Cup or World Cup.

India is expected to drop Sanju Samson from the squad in order to make a place for KL Rahul. Ishan Kishan will be the second-choice wicketkeeper in the Asia Cup 2023 squad. Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel and Hardik Pandya are going to be the frontline all-rounders. Mohammed Siraj will make a return after getting a rest in the series against West Indies. Umran Malik will be shown the door, while Mukesh Kumar may retain his place.
