Asia Cup 2023 Points Table and Team Standings

The 2023 Asia Cup will mark the 16th instalment of the tournament and will feature One Day Internationals (ODIs). The event will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Six teams will participate in the tournament, which is scheduled to take place in August and September 2023. Sri Lanka holds the title of defending champion.

This edition of the Asia Cup holds a unique distinction as it will be the first to be co-hosted by multiple countries. Out of the total thirteen matches, four will be held in Pakistan, while the remaining nine will take place in Sri Lanka.

The participating teams will include the five full members of the Asian Cricket Council: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka. Additionally, Nepal, who secured qualification by winning the 2023 ACC Men’s Premier Cup, will be making their debut appearance in the ACC Asia Cup.

The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) had previously announced the pathway structure and calendar for 2023 and 2024 in January 2023. This announcement included confirming the format and dates for the tournament. Initially scheduled for 2021, the event was rescheduled to 2023 due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. The fixture details for the competition were officially revealed on July 19, 2023.
