Overview of the Weather in Kandy for the IND vs PAK Asia Cup 2023 Clash

Pakistan made a strong start to their Asia Cup 2023 campaign, dominating Nepal with a resounding 238-run victory in Multan. While openers Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman didn’t shine, Babar Azam delivered a captain’s innings with an impressive 151, complemented by Iftikhar Ahmed’s rapid century off 67 balls. Their partnership of 214 runs propelled Pakistan to a formidable 342-run total. Subsequently, Shadab Khan’s four-wicket haul dismantled Nepal, limiting them to just 104 runs.

On the other hand, India holds a 7-5 lead in head-to-head ODIs against arch-rivals Pakistan in the Asia Cup, dating back to 1984. India is also the most successful team in Asia Cup history, with seven titles to their name, while Pakistan has won two.
