Bangladeshis are always known for their confidence or overconfidence we say? Fast Bowler Taskin Ahmed’s comment that he is confident that his team can defeat Pakistan and also they can clear their passage to the semis.
In group 2 no team has qualified yet for the semis, India is the table topper of the group followed by South Africa who’s in the second spot.
Well, Taskin believes that miracles happen but the situation is not in favor of the Tigers as they have to beat Pakistan, and also they would be hoping India gets defeated by Zimbabwe.
In a recent interview, he added “Pakistan is a good team, but we can beat them if we play good cricket. We are learning and playing better cricket than before. We haven’t become a good team in T20Is, but we are working toward our goal,”.
In Group 1 no team is decided so anything can happen and most likely India and South Africa have the chance to mostly cross the line.
“There can be miracles, and we can play in the semi-finals of the World Cup. We will play with the idea of winning the game. Our main target is to win the next game,” he also added.
However, we all know the Bangladeshi’s overconfidence always let them down in big ICC events. Hope this time they prove what they say.
