The Board of Cricket Council of India (BCCI) has decided to reappoint Chetan Sharma as the chief selector of the BCCI Selection Committee. It was reported that after India’s exit from the T20 World Cup 2022, BCCI Chairman Roger Binny and Secretary Jay Shah were unhappy with the decisions made by BCCI Selection Committee.

A new report came out in which BCCI said that it is looking for a different bunch of former players to be appointed as members of the BCCI Selection Committee. Many cricketing experts hailed the decision by BCCI to sack the Chetan Sharma-led selection committee.

However, the latest reports claim that Chetan Sharma is going to be reappointed as the BCCI Chief Selector. If that truly happens, Indian cricket fans will surely be disappointed. The internet is buzzing with the rumours of Chetan Sharma being the frontrunner in the race for BCCI Chief Selector.
