Scheduled for September 25 in Mumbai, the 92nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the BCCI will precede the highly anticipated ODI World Cup 2023, set to take place in India. This AGM is expected to center on the forthcoming World Cup and its comprehensive preparations.
The discussions during the meeting will briefly encompass IPL 2024 and the crucial matter of selecting the next head coach for the Indian Women’s cricket team. Notably, the decision regarding the new head coach and support staff for the women’s team has been deferred until the commencement of the upcoming international home season in December.
At the AGM, prominent officials of the Indian board are likely to review the composition of the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023. The tournament will kick off on October 5 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, with an intense clash between reigning champions England and New Zealand. Notably, the renowned Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata will host England’s final Group Stage match against Pakistan.

On November 15th, the first semi-final will unfold in Mumbai, followed by the second semi-final on the subsequent day in Kolkata. Adequate provisions have been made with reserve days allotted for both semi-final matches.
The grand finale is scheduled for November 19 at Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium, with November 20 reserved as a contingency date.
Among the ten host cities are Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dharamsala, Delhi, Chennai, Lucknow, Pune, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Kolkata.
