Rohit Sharma, the Indian skipper, has come forward to issue a statement on the hot debate about who will be India’s wicket-keeper batter in the upcoming IND vs ENG Semi-final in ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Many experts believe that Rishabh Pant should be in the team as he brings variety with his left-handed batting, while others believe that Dinesh Karthik is the best choice as he is a force to reckon with during the final overs.

Now, the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma has tried to put an end to the debate by issuing a statement that is going viral. The statement hints that India may go with Rishabh Pant in the semi-final. Rishabh Pant represented India in the previous match against Zimbabwe as Karthik was struggling with an injury and the team wanted to try out Pant before the semi-finals.

    Here’s what Rohit Sharma said

“Between Rishabh Pant and DK, I said it before the last game, as well, Rishabh was the only guy who didn’t get to play on this tour at all except the two games that we played in Perth. That was an unofficial practice game. But since then, he hasn’t had a hit, and he was the only guy who was missing some game time, so we wanted to give him some time and have some options, as well, whether we want to make changes in the semis or the finals, we should be able to do that.”
