Chris Woakes, born in Birmingham in March 1989, spent his formative years at Barr Beacon Language College in Walsall from 2000 to 2007. His cricket journey began at the tender age of seven when he joined the Four Oaks Saints Cricket Club. During the 2006 Minor Counties Trophy, he had the opportunity to represent Herefordshire County Cricket Club in three matches. From 2004 to 2007, he showcased his cricketing talents by playing for Warwickshire’s under-15, under-17, academy, and Second XI teams. In addition to his cricket passion, Woakes is a devoted supporter of the local football club Aston Villa F.C.
