Michael Hussey believes it is “difficult to see past Virat Kohli” if India wins the World Test Championship final against Australia on June 7 at the Oval in London.

Apart from Kohli, skipper Rohit Sharma will be crucial to India’s chances in the WTC final, according to the former Australia batter.

“It’s difficult to look past Virat Kohli.” “He (Kohli) is obviously returning to form in all forms of the game, so both he and Rohit Sharma with the bat will be important for India,” Hussey told the ICC website.

Kohli is back to his best, having recently scored back-to-back hundreds for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL. Kohli and the rest of the team have arrived in the United Kingdom and are training at the Kent Cricket Ground.

India recently defeated Australia at home, but Hussey believes the WTC final will be a different story.

“Because it will be played in England, the conditions will be different from the recent series in India, so I believe the fast bowlers will be important.”
