Team India is very close to qualify for the World Test Championship (WTC) Final.

Currently, 3 teams are in the race to qualify for the WTC Final:

    1. Australia

    2. India

    3. Sri Lanka

West Indies and South Africa have been knocked out.

With a 6-wicket victory over Australia in the Delhi Test, Team India has taken their PCT to 64.06. Australia are still at the top with 66.67 PCT. But they are in danger of missing out if they suffer a 0-4 humiliation.

Here’s how Team India’s scenario to qualify for the WTC Final:

India are 2nd in the points table with 64 percentage points, and Australia are at the top with 67 PCT.

Team India will directly qualify for the WTC Final if they win at least one out of the remaining two Test matches against Australia. They can still qualify for the final if they ‘Draw’ the 3rd and the 4th Test.

The only way India can miss out on the WTC Final is if Australia win the remaining two Tests and Sri Lanka defeat New Zealand by a margin of 2-0. In that case, Sri Lanka will book the 2nd spot with 61 PCT. India will be knocked out with 56 PCT.
