Royal Challengers Bangalore won their opening game against the mighty Mumbai Indians very easily. It was Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis who single handedly chased down a decent target of 172 runs by losing just 2 wickets. However, during the match, English speedster Reece Topley suffered a shoulder injury while fielding.
The exact status of Topley’s injury is yet to be known but RCB wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik has given an important update.

“It (shoulder) did pop out, but it went back in. I think he went for a scan during the game itself. He’s not in as much pain as we thought he’d be in. We’ll have to wait and see,” said Karthik after the match.
Earlier, Will Jacks who RCB bought in the auction for a massive amount got ruled out of the entire tournament. RCB signed Michael Bracewell as his replacement. RCB pacer Josh Hazlewood is yet to join the team too.
