In an exclusive interview, Amir revealed that India is his top pick for the tournament. He highlighted India’s advantage of playing in familiar home conditions, which he believes will give them a significant edge. India has a formidable cricket team with a track record of performing exceptionally well on home soil. The players are experienced and well-suited to the conditions, which can play a crucial role in any match. Amir’s selection reflects his admiration for India’s cricketing prowess and their ability to excel in their home environment.

“Without a doubt, India because the conditions there suit them very well. England would be my favorite as well. New Zealand, despite being underestimated, always manages to make it to the top four. Lastly, either Australia or Pakistan will secure a place in the top four among these teams,” said Mohammad Amir.

While Australia and Pakistan are Amir’s top picks for the fourth spot, he acknowledges Pakistan’s history of slow starts in tournaments. However, he believes that Pakistan is in a better position than England at the moment. This shows Amir’s optimism about Pakistan’s chances of success in the upcoming competition.

Amir also took playing conditions into consideration, as they can have a significant impact on the outcome of matches. He suggests that Pakistan has an advantage over England in the current conditions, which may allow them to start the campaign on a high note.

“Pakistan is known for being a late starter, but the current conditions are favorable for us compared to England. If our bowling performs well and our batsmen can score 300-350 runs, our bowling will play a crucial role. That’s why I believe Pakistan also has a chance,” concluded Mohammad Amir.
