India and Australia are currently involved in a cracking contest in the 1st match of India vs Australia Test Series 2023 at VCA Stadium in Nagpur. After the end of the day, India is 77 for the loss of 1 wicket and trails Australia by only 100 runs. On day 1, Australia batted first and only managed to score just 177 runs on the scoreboard. The Indian spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Ravi Ashwin dominated the proceedings on day 1 of the 1 Test match. Here we have covered the Nagpur Stadium pitch report for day 2 of the India vs Australia 1st Test match.

Day 1 of the Test match was a delight for the spinners as 9 of the total 11 wickets that fell on the first day were picked by the Indian spinners. However, the pitch did not show a lot of wear and tear, and it was poor batting from the Australians that led to their dismal situation at the moment. On day 2 of the 1st Test match between India and Australia, the Nagpur Stadium pitch is expected to play the same as the first day.

On day 2 of the 1st Test between India and Australia, the Nagpur Stadium pitch will certainly help the spinners, but it is also going to be the ideal time to bat on this surface. A set batter can take the game away from their opponent on this pitch. However, new batters will find it hard to get the timing right on this pitch. All in all, we expect the 2nd Day of the 1st Test match at Nagpur Stadium to produce competitive cricket between India and Australia.
