India vs Australia 1st Test match is scheduled to be played at VCA Stadium in Nagpur from 9th February 2023. The match will kick off at 9:30 AM. There are many players who are injured and will be missing out on the 1st Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
For India, Shreyas Iyer is missing out on the Test match due to an injury, while Cameron Green, Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Starc are going to miss out on the match for Australia due to injuries.

Suryakumar Yadav will have to wait for his Test debut as India is expected to play Shubman Gill at the number five position in the playing XI for the 1st test against Australia. Since KL Rahul is opening the batting for India with Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill in sublime form, India is likely to keep both of them in the Indian playing XI.

Kuldeep Yadav is another Indian player who is going to miss the first, as India is likely to go with Axar Patel, Ravindra Jadeja and R Ashwin as the three spinners for the 1st Test.
For Australia, Mitchell Swepson is expected to miss the 1st Test, as Todd Murphy is likely to get the nod ahead of him. Todd Murphy will make his debut for Australia in 1st Test against India.
Peter Handscomb is another Australian batter and wicketkeeper who is, unfortunately, not going to be part of the playing XI of the 1st Test. Australia is likely to go with Alex Carey as the wicketkeeper batter.
