Despite performing well across all formats, Kuldeep Yadav had missed out on the team in the past few years due to various reasons but has made a strong comeback.
It may be noted that after taking 5 wickets in Sydney in 2019, the then head coach Ravi Shastri named Kuldeep as India’s number 1 spinner on foreign soil, but after that he did not get regular opportunities. Due to repeated injuries, his confidence had decreased. During this, his poor form also continued.

Playing for Delhi in IPL 2022, he took 21 wickets in 14 matches, but once again he had to stay away from cricket due to injury. Even after being fit, he could not make it to the team for the T20 World Cup.

Staying away from cricket has helped Kuldeep work on his rhythm, variations. In the year 2023, Kuldeep made a strong comeback. He bowled well in the Sri Lanka and New Zealand series. Kuldeep took a total of 11 wickets in 5 matches. Their line of attack has got better. Now he can put more pressure on the batsmen. Can take wickets at any time.
