Team India is facing Australia on the final day of the final Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.
Batting first, Australia set a huge total of 480 runs in the first innings. In response, Team India scored 571 runs before getting ‘all-out’ on Day 4. Australia sent T. Head and M. Kuhnemann to open Australia’s innings in the evening session on Day 4.
Without losing any wicket, Australia continued batting on Day 5, aiming to take a considerable lead on India in the short period of time available. However, Team India’s leading spinner Ravichandran Ashwin was able to give India the first breakthrough of the morning as he got the Nightwatchman. It was a slower delivery and Kuhnemann ended up taking on his pads.
With this, Ashwin created an unusual record that very few bowlers achieve – Taking wickets of all the batsmen in the opponent team in a series.
Ravi Ashwin has dismissed all the 15 Australian batters at least once in the ongoing BGT.
NO DOUBT WHY THE KANGAROOS WERE SO AFRAID OF ASHWIN BEFORE THE START OF THE SERIES.
The 4th BGT Test is moving towards a ‘Draw’. The highlighting innings of this Test will be Virat Kohli’s extraordinary century which he made after 1205 days.
