Sydney Morning Herald, a famous and prestigious Australian newspaper, has published a story in which it claimed that the Aussies see Axar Patel as the biggest threat in the upcoming Border Gavaskar Trophy. Axar Patel destroyed the England batting line-up in Tests when he was played due to the absence of Ravindra Jadeja in the playing XI last year.

    Axar Patel

Axar Patel is a huge threat for the Aussies on rank turners in India. Australia is going to play one of the Test matches in Ahmedabad, where Axar Patel single-handedly annihilated the batting line-up in 2022. He has been phenomenal in the Tests for India in India. The all-rounder has also started to bat well for India in all three formats of the game.

There are rumours that India will go with Axar Patel in the playing XI instead of the veteran Ravindra Jadeja. Axar has been proving his worth with both the bat and ball since Jadeja’s injury, and he is likely to get the nod ahead of Jadeja in the upcoming Test series against Australia.

The Sydney Morning Herald has reported that Axar Patel is being studied extensively by Australians to avoid the biggest threat. The first Test between India and Australia is going to be played at Nagpur from 9th February 2023.
