Former Pakistan captain Rashid Latif believes that India will have a major advantage with the return of Ravindra Jadeja to the team. The all-rounder has passed his fitness test and is ready to play against Australia after recovering from a knee injury.
Latif believes that Jadeja is a crucial player in Test cricket, known for his impressive batting ability, and will be particularly useful against left-handed batters. He believes that Jadeja’s return will give India a boost in the four-match Test series, as he and R Ashwin will form a formidable pairing.
However, the management will have to decide between Kuldeep Yadav and Axar Patel for the third spinner spot. Latif suggests that Patel should be the pick, citing his 47 Test wickets at an average of 14.
“India’s main man across all departments of the game, Ravindra Jadeja’s comeback will make Australia quiver in their boots. Along with R Ashwin, they will form a dangerous duo in the Test series, and with the addition of Axar Patel, the Indian cricket team will be a force to be reckoned with.”
