    The India vs Australia World Test Championship 2023 Final, Day 1 began on Wednesday, June 8 at London’s iconic Kennington Oval. On the first day of the Test match, India won the toss and elected to bowl. The Australians score 327/7 on Day 1 thanks to Travis Head’s century and Steve Smith’s half-century.

    Opening batsman David Warner and top-order batsman Marnus Labuschagne then held the fort, putting on 69 runs for the second wicket before the Aussie southpaw was dismissed for 43 (60). Early in the second session, Mohammed Shammi dismissed Labuschagne (26) before Smith and Head ensured that Australia remained on the verge of a massive first innings total.
