India and England are set to play a five match Test series in England from 20th June 2025. Shubman Gill is going to lead a young Indian side as both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have retired from the longest format of the game. Ben Stokes make a return after an injury and is going to lead the England team. BCCI has already announced the squad of Indian cricket team for all five Tests. IND vs ENG 1st Test 2025 – Headingley Pitch Report
The pitch at Headingley in Leeds is similar to the other grounds in England. There will be a lot of help for seam and swing bowlers but spinners will find it tough to get any amount of turn. Overcast conditions could further aid the causes of medium-pace bowlers. This is the same ground, in which, Ben Stokes played a heroics knock against the Aussies to register a historic win. So, batting is not Impossible on this venue but the batters would need to apply themselves. Anything above 300 runs in the first innings is going to be a very good total to start.
