India and New Zealand are going to play the last ODI of the series at Indore Stadium on 24th January 2023. India has already won the series and the 3rd ODI is a mere formality. Both teams can decide to give opportunities to those players who have yet to play a game in this series. Here are 5 players who are most likely to get the nod for 3rd ODI between India and New Zealand.

1- Shahbaz Ahmed

Shahbaz Ahmed was brought in the squad as a replacement for Axar Patel. The all-rounder has performed well for India in the past and get the opportunity over Washington Sundar in the final ODI. He is a like to like replacement for Sundar in the Indian playing XI.

2- Rajat Patidar

The IPL sensation Rajat Patidar is going through the form of his life. He has been included in Indian squad on a couple of ocassions but is yet to get a game. In the third ODI he can finally get his chance if Virat Kohli decides to take rest.

3- Umran Malik

The Indian pacer has impressed with his wicket taking abilities in the middle overs. His fiery pace is just phenomenal and brings a difference dimension to the Indian cricket. He is most likely to play the 3rd ODI for India.

4- Ish Sodhi

The Kiwi wrist spinner is yet to get a chance in the playing XI for New Zealand despite having a great record against India in ODIs. Since New Zealand have nothing to lose anymore they can surely afford to play him in the 3rd ODI.

5- Yuzvendra Chahal

One of India’s frontline spinners Yuzvendra Chahal has not been able to find a spot in the Indian playing XI for ODIs against New Zealand. However, we are hopeful for a KulCha reunion in the 3rd ODI.
