In the Asia Cup 2023 final clash against Sri Lanka, India’s captain, Rohit Sharma, reached a remarkable milestone in his international cricket career. Rohit Sharma now joins the elite club of Indian cricketers who have represented the national team in 250 ODIs. This distinguished list includes legendary names like Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Rahul Dravid, Mohammed Azharuddin, Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh, Virat Kohli, and Anil Kumble. His journey in international cricket began in 2007.

Initially, Rohit Sharma began his career in the middle order but struggled to meet the high expectations. However, a pivotal moment came in 2013 when he was promoted to the opening position in white-ball cricket. Since then, the 36-year-old has been a consistent and integral part of the Indian cricket team, excelling in both ODI and T20 formats.
