BCCI Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar is set to travel to Trinidad and join the Indian cricket team ahead of the second Test match against West Indies. After a convincing victory in the first Test in Dominica, Team India is gearing up for the final Test, and Agarkar will be present to provide his insights and guidance.
In addition to his responsibilities as Chief Selector, Agarkar has recently finalized the Indian squad for the upcoming Asian Games in China. While one member of the selection committee, Salil Ankola, is already with the team, Agarkar will join them to have discussions and interact with the players.
The Indian team, having enjoyed a couple of rest days following the quick conclusion of the first Test, will travel to Trinidad on Monday. It is anticipated that Agarkar will have conversations with captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid, discussing various aspects of the team’s performance and planning for future tours.

Reports suggest that Agarkar’s discussions with Rohit and Rahul will also involve finalizing the squad for the India Tour of Ireland. While the senior players and the core team will focus on preparing for the Asia Cup and the World Cup, the reserves will travel to Ireland. This strategic approach aims to manage the workload and minimize the risk of injuries within the team.
Ajit Agarkar’s presence and involvement in the team will be instrumental in shaping the future plans and strategies of the Indian cricket team as they look to maintain their winning momentum in the upcoming matches.
