India Playing XI for T20 World Cup 2024 Without Virat & Rohit

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli could be left out of T20 World Cup 2024 squad

India recently lost the final against Australia in the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Now, the T20 World Cup is approaching and a billion hopes are again attached to the men in blue. Heroes of India’s campaign in ODI World Cup, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma could be left out of the squad that is set to compete in the T20 World Cup 2024 for India.

Both Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli have not played any T20Is since the T20 World Cup 2022 in which India lost in the Semi-Final. Kohli was the top scorer for India in that tournament as well. However, the Indian Cricket Team management has since then persisted with Hardik Pandya as the captain in T20Is.

BCCI clarified that both Kohli and Sharma were sidelined from T20Is to focus on the ODI World Cup. However, it seems that Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma are going to sit out the T20I World Cup 2024 with the young guns like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rinku Singh and the others taking the centrestage.
