Rohit Sharma-led Indian team scored a hat-trick by winning the third consecutive match and secured a place in the Super Eight with pride. America had tightened the screws at one time in this match, but Surya and Dubey made a brilliant partnership and gave the team victory.
The Indian team, recovering from the initial setbacks, qualified for the Super Eight stage by defeating America by seven wickets in the Group-A match of the T20 World Cup with a strong partnership of Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dubey.
Batting first, USA scored 110 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Saurabh Netravalkar gave India two setbacks in the beginning, but Suryakumar Yadav rescued the team from difficulty by scoring a brilliant half-century and Shivam Dubey supported him well at the other end.
With the strong performance of both these batters, India won by scoring 111 runs for three wickets in 18.2 overs. This is India’s third consecutive win in this tournament and it has confirmed its place in the Super Eight with six points.
Earlier, India won the toss and invited America to bat but fast bowler Arshdeep Singh gave a double blow to America in the very first over from which the team could not recover till the end. Nitish Kumar scored the highest 27 runs for America.

Chasing the target, India did not have a good start and the team lost the first wicket in the form of Virat Kohli. Kohli was out without opening the account. After this, Saurabh also showed the way to the pavilion to Indian captain Rohit Sharma.
At one time the team was looking in trouble, but Surya and Dubey took charge of India and gave them victory. Suryakumar Yadav remained unbeaten on 50 runs with the help of two fours and two sixes in 49 balls, while Dubey scored an unbeaten 31 off 35 balls, including a four and a six.
