Originally planned for June 2023, the three-match ODI series between India and Afghanistan was mutually postponed by ACB and BCCI. However, Jay Shah revealed that the series will now be held in January 2024, as reported by TOI.

Additionally, Jay Shah confirmed that the new media rights deal for home bilaterals, spanning the next four years, will be finalized by the end of August. The deal will commence with the eight-match series against Australia, featuring three ODIs before the ODI World Cup and five T20Is after the tournament, as stated by Shah.

Recently, the BCCI announced India’s squads for the upcoming white-ball series against the Bangladesh Women’s National Cricket Team. Surprisingly, several prominent players were omitted from the squads, including Renuka Singh, Richa Ghosh, Shikha Pandey, Radha Yadav, and Rajeshwari Gayakwad.

According to a source cited by TOI, a few players were dropped from the Indian women’s team for the Bangladesh tour due to their failure to meet the required fitness criteria. The source indicated that the BCCI is prioritizing strict adherence to fitness standards.

Jay Shah also revealed that the entire coaching staff for the India women’s team will be announced ahead of the Asian Games 2023.
