India vs Australia 3rd Test: Kuldeep Yadav to Play Instead of Siraj; India to Go with Four Spinners on the Red Soil Pitch of the Holkar Stadium in Indore.

India and Australia are going to play the 3rd Test match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at Indore Stadium from 1st March 2023. Australia will be missing their captain Pat Cummins due to his family commitments. In his absence, Steve Smith is going to lead the Australian team. Josh Hazlewood has also confirmed be out of the series due to the injury. Meanwhile Mitchell Starc has healed completely and will be available for selection in the 3rd Test match. David Warner is ruled out of the Test series due to the injury that he suffered in the 2nd Test match. Also, Ashton Agar has gone back to Australia to play domestic cricket.

On the other hand, the Indian cricket team is filled with options in both the batting and bowling department. There are reports that claim that the Indore will offer a red soil pitch which will have huge benefits for spinners. Mohammed Siraj did not take any wicket in the last Test match against Australia and on the red soil pitch spinners are expected to rule the roost. India can opt to go with four spinners including Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, Ravi Ashwin and Axar Patel. Kuldeep Yadav can also bat a bit which makes him an enticing option for the Indian playing 11 of the 3rd Test.
