The Asia Cup, a Continental Cup involving six teams, is scheduled to take place from August 31 to September 17, just before the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Co-hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, this edition of the tournament will be played in the ODI format. It provides an opportunity for all teams, except Nepal, to prepare for the upcoming ODI World Cup, with the highly anticipated clash between India and Pakistan being a key highlight.
The highly anticipated match between India and Pakistan is scheduled for September 3 in the Asia Cup. India’s entire match schedule will take place in Sri Lanka, while only four matches will be held in Pakistan. The remaining nine matches will be played in Sri Lanka. The complete schedule for the Asia Cup will be announced later this week.

A total of 13 ODI matches will be contested in the Asia Cup. Each team will face the other teams in their respective groups. The top two teams from each group will progress to the Super Four Stage of the tournament. The best teams from the Super Four stage will then compete in the finals.
The Asia Cup will be streamed live on Disney + Hotstar, and the broadcast of the tournament will be available on Star Sports.
