Team India looked solid on Day 2 of the 1st Test between India and Australia. A brilliant century from the skipper, and 66* and 52* runs knock from the two left-arm allrounders, Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel respectively, helped India take a valuable lead of 144 runs at the end of the day.

However, during the entire day, senior Australian player Steve Smith didn’t look 100% on the field as he dropped some very important catches. Steve Smith first dropped the catch of Rohit Sharma in the slips after the opener completed his century, and later, just before the end of the day, dropped the catch of Ravindra Jadeja at the same position. While Pat Cummins clean bowled Rohit Sharma after that dropped catch and didn’t let the situation become, the dropped catch of Ravindra Jadeja may haunt Australia tomorrow as the all-rounder is looking in superb touch.
Here is how Twitter reacted to Steve Smith’s dropped catches:
Tomorrow Team India will try to make the lead as big as possible so that they could avoid the situation of batting in the final innings by finishing the game off in the 3rd innings itself.
